Iain McColl (27 January 1954 – 4 July 2013) was a Scottish film and television actor, best known for his roles on British television series. McColl starred on City Lights, a BBC Scotland sitcom, from 1984 to 1991. He then co-starred on the BBC Two sitcom, Rab C Nesbitt during its first run (1988-1999).

Iain McColl. Actor. 27 January 1954 to 3 July 2013. A Scottish actor who was a familiar face in a succession of popular comedies, McColl was among the ensemble of the sketch show Laugh??? I Nearly Paid My Licence Fee (1984). He also had supporting roles in City Lights (1984-91) and – playing Rab’s pal Dodie – in Rab C. Nesbitt (1990-99).
Born in 1947, Iain McColl is a renowned Scottish sculptor who has established himself as one of the leading artists making public art in the UK. He studied at the Glasgow School of Art and is a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors.
