Ron Carey (1935-2007) was a short, Italian, nasal-toned and mischievous-looking fellow who played Brooklynesque characters in T.V. sitcoms and films. He was best known for his role as Carl Levitt in Barney Miller (1975-1982), and also appeared in Mel Brooks' comedies and Fatso (1980).
