Adrienne C. Moore is an American actress, singer, and voice-over artist. She portrays Cindy "Black Cindy" Hayes in Orange Is the New Black.

Adrienne is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. Adrienne's parents, Wayne and Glenda Moore, introduced her, her twin sister, Annette, and brother, Wayne, to the theater community at an early age. While her training began as early as her parents' home video camera (because she always loved performing for the camera), her formal training began at W.O. Smith Music School, where she studied piano and singing.

With her theatrical roots firmly planted, Adrienne moved to Atlanta during middle school and continued to develop as an artist through school drama programs and a number of local and community plays at The Alliance and Horizon theaters. Despite working in the theater, she attended the math and science magnate program at Benjamin E. Mays high school. From there she went on to attend Northwestern University, where she obtained a BA in Psychology and a minor in History and Religion.

Upon graduation from college, Adrienne moved back to Atlanta and set aside her passion for acting to work as a marketing professional. After quickly establishing herself in the Atlanta professional community, she was offered a role working for CNN/Turner. During that time, Adrienne continued to develop her acting chops through community theater, where she worked with Rachel May of Synchronicity Theater as an intern and was ultimately cast as an original member in the world premier of Women + War. While working for CNN, Adrienne auditioned for and was accepted into The New School for Drama in New York.

While at The New School for Drama, she studied with Ron Leibman, Christopher Shinn, Robert LuPone, Paul Rudd and Pippin Parker, to name a few. It was during this time that she earned her first Off-Broadway credit at The Lucille Lortel Theater with The 24-Hour Theater Company.

In between projects, she enjoys volunteering with The 52nd Street Theatre and Naked Angels youth programs. Moore is close friends with Orange Is the New Black co-stars Samira Wiley, Danielle Brooks and Uzo Aduba.
