[1] [2] The film is an adaptation of Alexandr Pushkin 's short story The Shot (Pushkin), published in 1831. Plot. The film tells about an officer named Silvio, who decides to challenge the count to a duel as a result of a slap in the face.
The film takes place in the summer of 1942, when on the Don the Soviet army tries to repel the German fascists. In the center of the plot is a young lieutenant Ogarkov, who is sent to the division by order of redeployment.
