College Football Hall of Fame. Jon Steven Young (born October 11, 1961) is an American former football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 15 seasons, most notably with the San Francisco 49ers. He was drafted by and played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Steve Young played 15 seasons in the NFL, mostly with the San Francisco 49ers, and won six passing titles and one Super Bowl MVP. He was a two-time league MVP, All-Pro and Pro Bowler, and threw for 33,124 yards and 232 touchdowns.
