Brian Collins Westbrook (born September 2, 1979) is an American former football running back who played for nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the third round of the 2002 NFL draft after playing college football for the Villanova Wildcats .

Nov 4, 2023 · A two-time Offensive Player of the Year in college, Westbrook was a third-round pick in 2002 by the Philadelphia Eagles. By his third year, Westbrook averaged nearly five yards per carry and 10 yards per reception, and in 2007, he led the NFL in scrimmage yards.

In 2017 Brian founded “The Brian Westbrook Foundation.” Brian’s foundation is focused on empowering youth, while adding to their vocational training. Brian believes that with hard work, dedication and having access to the right tools and opportunities all youth can be successful in life.
Westbrook was a consensus All-America and two-time CAA offensive player of the year and was the 2001 recipient of the Walter Payton Award (as the top player in NCAA Division I-AA). As a senior, he amassed 2,823 combined net yards and scored 29 touchdowns. Westbrook was inducted to the Villanova University Varsity Club Hall of Fame in 2016.
