Steve 'Slippery' Morris (born 19 June 1957) is an Australian former rugby league footballer who played in the 1970s and 1980s. A state and national representative, his club career was played with the St. George Dragons and the Eastern Suburbs Roosters .
Steve ‘Slippery’ Morris has had his life saved by a cafe owner after the rugby league legend suffered a stroke last week. The 66-year-old, who played 247 first-grade games, was having coffee with friends at the Central Perk cafe in Kiama on the NSW south coast when he collapsed.

Biography. Slippery' Steve Morris is the last player to have represented Australia while playing for a NSW Country team. In 1978 the live-wire halfback was playing for Dapto when he progressed through the Country and NSW ranks to play for Australia in the First Test against NZ.
