Sergio García Fernández (pronounced [ˈseɾxjo ɣaɾˈθi.a feɾˈnandeθ]; born 9 January 1980) is a Spanish professional golfer. He turned professional in 1999 and played on the European Tour and PGA Tour prior to joining LIV Golf in 2022.
SERGIO GARCIA. Sergio Garcia was born in Borriol, a little town in the east coast of Spain near Castellón, on January 9, 1980. Sergio started playing golf when he was only three years old under the supervision of Víctor García, his father, teacher and mentor.
- He was born in Borriol, Spain, near Castellon de la Plana which is just north of Valencia.
- He used to occasionally turn out for Borriol FC, his hometown club, where he was formerly club president.
