Jack Suchet (10 May 1908 – 9 September 2001) was an English consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist, who carried out research on the use of penicillin in the treatment of venereal disease with Sir Alexander Fleming in London.

Nov 24, 2001 · Jack Suchet was an obstetrician and gynaecologist who worked with Fleming on penicillin for venereal disease during the second world war. He also served in the Royal Army Medical Corps in Egypt and Palestine.
Suchet was born in the Paddington area of London, the son of Jack Suchet and his wife Joan Patricia (née Jarché; 1916–1992), an actress. Jack emigrated from South Africa to England in 1932, trained to be a physician at St Mary's Hospital Medical School, London, in 1933, and became an obstetrician and gynaecologist.
