Albert Edward John Spencer, 7th Earl Spencer, TD, FSA, FRSA (23 May 1892 – 9 June 1975), styled The Honourable Albert Spencer until 1910 and Viscount Althorp from 1910 to 1922, and known less formally as Jack Spencer, was a British peer. He was the paternal grandfather of Diana, Princess of Wales.

Jun 5, 2023 · Margaret and Charles’s eldest son became Albert Spencer, 7th Earl Spencer. Albert, known as ‘Jack’, was the paternal grandfather of Diana, Princess of Wales, Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Baroness Fellowes.
Earl Spencer also held the titles of Viscount Althorp, Viscount Spencer, and Baron Spencer. He served as Justice of the Peace and County Alderman for Northamptonshire. From 1952, he was Lord Lieutenant and Custos Rotulorum.
