Greg McDermott (born November 25, 1964) is an American basketball coach who has been the head coach of the Creighton Bluejays men's basketball team since 2010. Previously, McDermott served as the head coach at Wayne State College , North Dakota State , Northern Iowa , and Iowa State .
A native of Cascade, Iowa, Greg McDermott owns a 449-281 record in 22 seasons on the Division I sidelines. He has a 580-345 career mark in 29 seasons as a head coach, which includes 13 trips to the NCAA Tournament. Before coming to Creighton, McDermott won 59 games in four seasons as head coach at Iowa State.
