Kao Pao-shu or Gao Baoshu (Chinese: 高寶樹; 1932–2000) was a Chinese actress, producer, writer and film director who appeared in over 100 films during her career. Originally from China, Kao moved to Hong Kong in 1951, where she acted in minor roles before joining Shaw Brothers Studio in 1958.
Director-producer Kao Pao-Shu was earlier known for the strong-willed roles that made her one of the more distinctive character actresses of the 1960's. Before turning 20 she joined a theatrical troupe that tourned around, marrying future Shaw Brothers actor Chiang Nan, and settling in Hong Kong in 1951. She joined Shaw Brothers in 1958.
