Sir Geoffrey Vos, a former QC and Chancellor of the High Court, started his new role as the second most senior judge in England and Wales on 11 January 2021. He presides over the Court of Appeal’s Civil Division and hears complex civil, family and tribunal cases.
Sir Geoffrey Vos is the current Master of the Rolls, a judge of the Court of Appeal and the President of its Civil Division. He is second in judicial importance to the Lord Chief Justice and responsible for the deployment and organisation of the work of the judges of the division.
