El Pisito is a 1959 Spanish black comedy film directed by Marco Ferreri. The Spanish Ministry of Culture forced the producers to sign the film as co-directed by Spaniard Isidoro M. Ferry. It was co-written by famous Spanish screenwriter Rafael Azcona, who collaborated with Ferreri throughout his career.

'El pisito' was one of the most characteristic Spanish films in the history of Spain. In the Madrid of the late fifties, with a Spain that is barely beginning to emerge from underdevelopment, economic hardships are frequent among the country's population.
Rodolfo and Petrita each live in separate quarters in dilapidated Madrid, while looking to have a little apartment (or "pisito", in Spanish dialect). Unfortunately their low salaries prevent them from acquiring one.
