The third film in a documentary series from acclaimed director Gillian Armstrong, about the lives of three working class women. as they grow up from the age of 14. They're now at the ripe old age of 26, and we witness the women confronting the very real issues of teenage pregnancy, and love versus sex, marriage and career.
During these 12 fast and furious years they discover exactly what life has in store for them - the good, the bad and the unexpected. BINGO, BRIDESMAIDS AND BRACES accurately highlights the three stages of their lives through their unique relationship with acclaimed director Gillian Armstrong.
A followup documentary to Armstrong's two short films about three working class girls from Adelaide. In "Smokes and Lollies" (1977) the three were 14 years old, in "14's Good, 18's Better" they were 18, and in the present film the women are 26.
