Lorello and Brunello, twins living in Southern Tuscany, have spent their whole lives taking care of the estate where they were born. All their time is completely consumed by constant work. But they risk failure, helpless against the dropping prices of the global economic markets.
The hard-working brothers Lorello and Brunello are filmed throughout the seasons on their farm in Tuscany. Their efforts look like a labour of Sisyphus, in which all progress is destroyed by prices on the world market and the return of packs of wolves hunting sheep.
In rural Pianetti di Sovana in the south of Tuscany live the twins Lorello and Brunello. Lorello is the largest, Brunello the eldest, according to an old woman who passes the meadows of these two sheep farmers everyday and provides commentary on what takes place in the area like a Greek choir.
