"Die weiße Majestät" ist ein Bergfilm, den ausnahmsweise nicht Arnold Fanck oder Luis Trenker inszenierte. Qualitativ bewegt er sich im Mittelfeld zwischen den Filmen dieser Regisseure, bietet wenig Neues, nur etwas mehr Heimatfilmtropen - bei Fanck und Trenker stehen oft Großstädter im Mittelpunkt, hier gibt es nur einheimische Dorfbevölkerung, aus denen sich die Protagonisten rekrutieren.
