Film Synopsis. S hortly after being arrested for fraud, the discredited banker Jules Taffard manages to escape from the Santé prison. He evades the police by hiding out in a small lingerie shop where his former mistress, Claire, works.
Banker Jules Taffard (Jules Raimu), a true financier, is a shrewd money-handler. Imprisoned for an alleged swindle, his trial seems to be upsetting those in the government, who may not be so far removed from Taffard's affairs (Affaire Alexandre Stavisky).
