The Eurasian skylark (Alauda arvensis) is a passerine bird in the lark family, Alaudidae. It is a widespread species found across Europe and the Palearctic with introduced populations in Australia, New Zealand and on the Hawaiian Islands.

The Eurasian skylark (Alauda arvensis) is a passerine bird, a member of the lark family Alaudidae. It is a bird of open landscapes such as farmland and heath, distinguished by its streaked greyish-brown plumage above and on the breast, with a buff-white belly.
The sexes are alike in the plumage, but males are slightly larger. Skylarks usually range in size from 18-19 cm. They have a wing-span of 30-36 cm. Females of the species can weight 17-47 g, while males can weigh 27-55 g. Their bills are short but strong.
