Nov 23, 2021 · LITTLE SENEGAL. by Rachid Bouchareb. synopsis. After many years as a tourist guide in the Slave museum in Senegal, Alloune, 65, a widower living alone, decides to go to America in search of his ancestors, taken as y from the village 200 years ago and sold as slaves in the New World.
Not long retired, this 65-year-old widower decides to go on a trip to the USA to try and trace his ancestors who were sold as slaves to the New World more than 200 years ago. Alloune's nephew, Hassan, lives in "Little Senegal", a Senegalese community that has settled in West Harlem.
