Angels in the Outfield is a 1994 American family sports fantasy comedy-drama film directed by William Dear. It is a remake of the 1951 film of the same name. Overview. Roger is a foster child whose irresponsible father promises to get his act together when Roger's favourite baseball team, the California Angels, wins the pennant. The problem is that the Angels are in last place, so Roger prays for help to turn the team around.
A foster child believes that his luck will change if his beloved California Angels can win the pennant. Meanwhile, the last place team's manager is trying to turn the club around and save his job.
