Heartbeat (French: Le schpountz) is a 1938 French comedy film directed by Marcel Pagnol and starring Fernandel, Orane Demazis and Fernand Charpin. It was remade in 1999 as Le schpountz, directed by Gérard Oury.
Le Schpountz est un film français réalisé par Marcel Pagnol, sorti en 1938. Le film, bien que totalement original, tourné en 1937 en parallèle d'un autre film de Pagnol, Regain, se base sur une anecdote réelle survenue lors du tournage d'un précédent film, Angèle, tourné en 1934.
Le schpountz is a 1999 French film directed by Gérard Oury (a remake of the 1938 film Heartbeat by Marcel Pagnol). Irénée does not want to work in his uncle's grocery shop and spends his time dreaming of becoming an actor. Irénée's chance comes when a crew of movie makers came to his little village.
Synopsis. A young grocer’s clerk with a bit of a penchant for mythology, Irénée is convinced that he will become a famous actor. He meets a film crew that tells him a cruel joke.
