  6. Tight, atmospheric with more than its fair share of fatalism, The Man in the Back Seat is right up there with the more enjoyable examples of British noir. It's a heist gone wrong packed in to a runtime of 55 minutes with a pretty fabulous ending once you get past the absurdity, that the rushed runtime forces on the story, of the final section.
