Rebecca (Lindsay Sloane) is a veterinary assistant who loves dogs but does not have good luck with men. Steven (Alexander Chaplin), meanwhile, is both a dog lover and an aspiring author.

Author Steven goes undercover at a veterinary clinic to research his novel and finds love instead. Vet assistant Rebecca clicks with him, but assumes he’s gay. Realizing a gay character would improve his book, Stephen plays the part with exuberance.
