On a rainy night in the outskirts of Tokyo, a drug smuggler, Misaki, is killed while trying to escape in a getaway car, leaving only his clothes behind. The police go to his apartment to investigate, questioning his girlfriend, Arai Chikako, who says Misaki hasn't returned home for five days.

A great mystery-horror film with not-so-great special effects. Like Godzilla, Ishiro Honda's The H-Man explores the trauma of the atomic bomb, specifically the invisible danger from contagious radioactive fallout. The metaphor makes for a fascinating premise, and the story is strong enough to have the potential for a truly insightful movie.

The police are skeptical at first but when they witness the liquid creature, now called the H-man, kill three people, including a policeman at a the nightclub where Chikako worked they now believe him.
