I was interested in watching this movie for three reasons: (1) it stars Masami Nagasawa; (2) it stars Hiroshi Abe; and (3) it had the potential to improve upon a mediocre original.

Mar 24, 2015 · Hidden Fortress: The Last Princess. Now re-making/updating an Akira Kurosawa classic is a risky and, some might say, downright mad proposition and needless to say this new version of Kurosawa’s much loved ‘The Hidden Fortress’ doesn’t come anywhere close to the magic of the original.
