Jun 5, 2004 · Overview. After finally passing his teacher's exam, Miwa (Yukiyoshi Ozawa) devoted himself to teaching in a rustic primary school. He struggles to get through to his students, until he creates a class project to raise fireflies to fly over it once again.
Hotaru no Hoshi (ほたるの星; The Fireflies' Star), its official English title being Fireflies: River of Light, is a movie featuring several Hello! Project Kids. It was released theatrically on June 5, 2004; followed by the DVD on December 22, 2004.
A dedicated elementary school teacher (Yukiyoshi Ozawa) who takes his first job at a small town school wins his students over when he agrees to breed fireflies but his colleagues and local construction business make for serious obstacles...
