Sep 30, 2015 · A fact-based movie about the first German prosecutions of Nazi war criminals after WWII. The lead character, a young prosecutor, investigates a former Auschwitz guard and uncovers a web of complicity and denial.
The drama follows a young German prosecutor who faces stony resistance in bringing former death-camp functionaries to trial in the 1960s.
Now--as more than 8,000 people worked at the nightmarish death camp, and with the infamous war criminal, Josef Mengele, enjoying a tranquil life in Argentina--the righteous attorney undertakes the herculean task to unearth evidence in the mounds of dusty files at the U.S. Army Document Center.
Radmann oversteps boundaries, falls out with friends, colleagues and allies, and is sucked deeper and deeper into a labyrinth of lies and guilt in his search for the truth. But what he ultimately brings to light will change the country forever.
