Fresh is a 2022 American horror thriller film directed by Mimi Cave, in her directorial debut, from a screenplay by Lauryn Kahn. The film stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Sebastian Stan. It is a co-production between Legendary Pictures and Hyperobject Industries; Adam McKay produced the film alongside Kevin J. Messick.
A first person narrative of the exploits of a gay serial killer in deeply disturbing, controversial drama about violence, sexuality, and the imagination. Dennis, the main character, whose lead we follow on this path between what is real and what we can only hope is surreal.
Gypsy Pete (James Lyons), its proprietor, notes the lad's interest in bondage magazines and shows Dennis his private stash of snuff photos. Dennis is transfixed by the pictures of a young man who is tied up, with a plastic bag duct-taped around his head, and appears to be dead.
