Summaries. Bill Bruce, a young boy whose dislike of women, stems from his father's divorce from his mother, is dismayed to find that his father, Robert Brude, is falling for Bill's schoolteacher, Hester Hunter.
Soon after, Miss Hunter stops by to talk to Robert about his son's behavior, and Bill tells her that his father is not home and asks her to come another time. After climbing into her car, Miss Hunter backs up and hits Robert's car.
