After her architect father dies, Marian Delmar receives a monthly allowance from Varcoe, another architect, until his own death. Over the objections of John Hartfield, her sweetheart, Marian decides to repay Varcoe by nursing back to health his dissolute son Olin, who is dying from hard living.
