  4. Gildersleeve's Bad Day (1943) is in my opinion the best of the four Gildersleeve films. Harold Peary had his character down, making the dilemma of jury duty and bribes a very funny one. Simply a busybody getting busy keeping his name clean in a questionable situation as the twists keeps coming.
