Today Wednesday, 3 rd of July of 2024, the sun rose in Singapore at 7:03:03 am and sunset was at 7:14:50 pm. In the high tide and low tide chart, we can see that the first low tide was at 2:57 am and the next low tide at 3:10 pm. The first high tide was at 10:03 am and the next high tide at 9:00 pm. The water level is falling.

The difference in height between the high tide and the low tide is called the tidal range. A horizontal movement of water often accompanies the rising and falling of the tide. This is called the tidal current. The incoming tide along the coast and into the bays and estuaries is called a flood current; the outgoing tide is called an ebb current.
