When Rick Martin (Sterling Hayden) goes back to his hometown to warn the townspeople of an imminent attack by marauders, he finds he has been exiled due to his reputation as a gunslinger for hire.

This Top Gun was a B western that came out in 1955. A tough gunman played by Sterling Hayden drifts into Casper, Wyoming in the 1870s and the whole town wants to hang him for murder while the lead citizen plays a particularly dastardly role, It's William Bishop, and he's cooly sleazy.
