Pilgrims (Lithuanian: Piligrimai) is a 2021 Lithuanian crime drama film written and directed by Laurynas Bareisa, at his feature film debut. The film won the Orizzonti competition at the 78th edition of the Venice Film Festival. It was selected as the Lithuanian entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 95th Academy Awards.

Dec 4, 2021 · Paulius (Giedrius Kiela) is a loveable middle-aged wastrel, haunted by the memories of his dead brother Mateus, who was murdered four years ago, which put him in a bad state of depression. The perpetrators have been caught, the witnesses have delivered their statements, the jurors have deliberated and for the rest of the world, the case was closed.
Cold and distant directing makes it hard to connect with a story about a man and a woman coming to terms with their close person being brutally murdered a few years ago as they travel to a small town where the terrible crime was committed.
