The Party Crashers was Frances Farmer's first film in sixteen years, having last appeared in the 1942 Twentieth Century-Fox production Son of Fury (see AFI Catalog of Feature Films, 1941-50). It was also her final film. In 1970, after a series of personal setbacks, she died from cancer.
