Jul 31, 2005 · The boy in the movie is born Leo Lauzon, but renames himself Leo Lozone. In his dreams, his real father is a Sicilian who masturbates on a box full of tomatoes destined for Quebec. His mother falls on the tomatoes in a Montreal street market, squishing them, and nine months later Leolo is born.
Leo Lozeau is a French-Canadian pre-teen living with his family in a working class inner city neighborhood of Montréal. In Leo's mind, his family is not just eccentric - they're crazy. His sister Rita is indeed institutionalized. A turkey and a rat live in the family bathtub (the turkey invited, the rat not).
