Plot. In the coasts of Hamburg, Germany, a gang of sewer rats steal food as a group of cats led by the Colonel, plan to get rid of the rats and their leader, Big Rat. The plan failed, but the rats were forced to retreat as the other rats pursued the cats, with Zorba (a black cat) injured.

Zorba, a cat, and Lucky, a seagull, form a friendship and face dangers in this adaptation of Carlo Verdone's poem. The film features the voices of Antonio Albanese, Sofia Baratta and Melba Ruffo Dicalabria.
Lucky and Zorba. Zorba is a cat who finds a dying seagull in his yard, a victim of a recent oil spill. Zorba promises the gull that he will look after the egg she is nesting, and before long Lucky is hatched. Zorba watches over the baby bird and teaches it to fly with the help of his friends.
