The Knife were a Swedish electronic music duo from Gothenburg, formed in 1999. The group consisted of siblings Karin and Olof Dreijer, who together also run their own record company, Rabid Records. They gained a large international following in response to their 2003 album Deep Cuts .

The Knife are 20 in 2020. To commemorate the release of our first 7" back on August 14, 2000, we have made our full catalogue available on streaming services and digital stores through our label Rabid Records. This includes our soundtrack to the Swedish film Hannah Med H and Live At Terminal 5.

The siblings called themselves The Knife, a name to grow into. The first thing they put out was a sonically prescient 7” in August 2000. “Afraid of You,” in particular, set the stage for the vocal mutability and brooding tones of their future work.
