On 7 October 2010, Mark Westworth announced on the band's official web site that he would be leaving the band and his final appearance with IQ was on 11 December 2010. On 1 January 2011, the band announced that Westworth's replacement on keyboards would be Neil Durant, from instrumental prog-fusion band Sphere³.
The band enlisted Mark Westworth, formerly with Darwin’s Radio, and, after a short hiatus, work continued on IQ’s ninth studio album, ‘Frequency’, released in 2009. It was a musical tour de force which received universally positive reviews.

New keyboard player Mark Westworth seems to have lit a fire under these guys, as his layering of Mellotron, Moog, and Hammond on the previously mentioned opening title track is a revelation, driving IQ to a newfound power.
The other personnel change is with founding member Martin Orford, that is now replaced by a new keyboard player Mark Westworth . To me, the departure of Orford is like if Tony Banks had left Genesis , this because of Orford's major importance in the band's sound and in composing the music.

Please say hello to Mark Westworth, our wizzy new keyboard player. Mark is currently best known for his work with Darwin's Radio. Rehearsals for the IQ European dates are now underway and Mark's first appearance with us will be in Rome on November 23rd.
