Darcy Megan Stanger (born June 19, 1971, Caldwell, Idaho), better known by the pen name Dame Darcy, is an alternative cartoonist, fine artist, musician, cabaret performer, and animator/filmmaker. Her " Neo-Victorian " [4] comic book series Meat Cake was published by Fantagraphics Books from 1993 to 2008.
Dame Darcy is a cartoonist, sequential artist, and entertainer known world wide for her fanciful creations. At age 21 she scored her first publishing deal with Fantagraphics for her title Meatcake. She has never stopped creating her world, a world of beauty, hilarity, and occasional darkness.
