Aug 31, 2021 · Bismarck State College (BSC) has hired Myron Schulz as the new director of athletics, replacing Buster Gilliss who retired in July after 30 years in the Mystics athletics program, both as coach and athletic director.
A home-grown legend, Myron Schulz and University of Mary football were synonymous as both grew to national prominence together. A lifelong resident of Bismarck, ND, Schulz was a member of the Marauders coaching staff for 23 of the program’s first 26 years and is the team’s all-time winningest coach.

An assistant coach on the first U-Mary football team in 1988, Schulz has been an integral part of the program’s success since its inception. U-Mary’s all-time winningest head coach, Schulz enters his 15th season at the Marauders helm in 2013 and will serve his 23rd season on the school’s coaching staff out of the 26 years the program has existed.
