Using Gospel and contemporary R&B, Virtue delivers a message of relevance and urgency in a defined sound that has changed the landscape of contemporary Gospel.
SHAVONNE Sampson has left Virtue to devote time to raising her daughter. Her replacement is Heather Trotter who should feel very much at home because her sisters Ebony and Karima are also members of the group.
A journey that saw its humble beginnings in New Orleans, the group's original lineup featured founder Ebony Holland, Karima Kibble, and Shavonne Floyd Sampson. Under the name Endurance, the trio thrilled audiences with airtight harmonies and piercing, heartfelt deliveries of praise-and-worship numbers.
The latter trio of testifying soul sisters - Karima Trotter Kibble, Shavonne Floyd Sampson and Ebony Trotter - came together at Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama (the same Seventh Day Adventist establishment that spawned those acapella hitmakers Take 6).
