As teenagers in 2011, Braeden Lemasters (guitar/vocals), Cole Preston (guitar/drums), and Dylan Minnette (guitar/vocals) formed the band at a music studio called Join the Band in Van Nuys with Zack Mendenhall (bass).
Anyone have info on why zack mendenhall isn’t in the band? I saw his IG where he talks about wallows and he said it was a big part of his life, so I was wondering. His personal website is expired now, and I think his account of the situation was on there.

Dec 29, 2022 · Minnette, Lemasters, and Preston first founded a band with the band name, Join the Band as adolescents in 2011. At that time, they had a bass guitarist named Zack Mendenhall. They were GigMasterz students at the Keyboard Galleria Music Center in Southern California.
i’ve always wondered this too. wikipedia says zack mendenhall, but google doesn’t give much info on him. i’m not too sure what all happened there.
Jan 23, 2024 · They started a group named Feaver with Zack Mendenhall on bass, and they even had the chance to play on the 2011 Warped Tour. However, once Mendenhall left the Band, they adopted The Narwhals as their new moniker before settling on Wallows in 2017.
