Tan Wu Meng (Chinese: 陈有明; pinyin: Chén Yǒumíng; born 1975) is a Singaporean politician and oncologist who served as Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Trade and Industry concurrently between 2018 and 2020.
Tan Wu Meng champions issues that affect Singaporeans, and he has raised a range of issues over the years that impact their lives. This includes fighting for fair benefits for gig economy workers, enhanced healthcare, raising questions about the dwindling green spaces and preserving our natural spaces like Clementi Forest.
Dr Tan Wu Meng is a consultant in medical oncology with clinical interest in breast cancer. He has a PhD in molecular biology from Cambridge and is a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
Wu Meng Tan is an elected Member of Parliament for Clementi division of Jurong GRC and a medical oncologist at National Cancer Centre Singapore. He has also served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and has a PhD in molecular biology from Cambridge.
