Beverley High School is the only girls’ school in the East Riding of Yorkshire. We are a community of 850 students, including 120 in our Sixth Form, which forms part of the Beverley Joint Sixth Form with Beverley Boys’ Grammar School, and over 100 staff.
Beverley High School is a five-form comprehensive school for girls, with key stage 3 and 4 for those aged 11–16. At the end of this period, pupils sit the GCSE exams. The school currently has 816 pupils on their roll.
Beverley High School is a Group 6, five-form entry girls' comprehensive within the East Riding of Yorkshire. Approximately 860 students are currently on roll including 117 girls in the Sixth Form. The School, founded in 1908, has developed since 1973 from a grammar school into a fully comprehensive 11-18 establishment.
Admissions. There are two different types of admissions – those to start school at the ‘normal’ time for the start of Year 7, and those for places in other year groups or at any other time – these are called ‘in-year’ applications for school places.
