Combermere is one of the oldest secondary schools in Barbados and is one of the oldest in the entire Commonwealth. The school was also the first to offer secondary education to lower class blacks on the island.
The mission of Combermere School is to discover, nurture and develop both academic and non-academic talents in all students, so that they become creative, effective and affective members of society who do what is right, simply because it is right.
Jul 23, 2017 · The Combermere School is located in Waterford, St. Michael, and dates as far back as 1695, when it came into existence as a “Free School” from an endowment from the will of a former plantation owner by the name of Colonel Henry Drax. Combermere is the oldest secondary school in Barbados and is one of the oldest in the entire Commonwealth.

Positions were as follows: First – Donte Payne; Second – Jemuel Miller; Third – Brandon Ruck; Fourth – Sheradeane Grant- Cadogan; Fifth – Primus R. Walrond; Seventh – Andre C. Applewhaite.
