Durs Grünbein was born in Dresden on October 9th, 1962 and has been living in Berlin since 1986. He studied Theatre at Humboldt University and has been working as a freelance poet, translator, and essayist since 1987.
Durs Grünbein is a German poet and translator and the author of more than twenty books, including Psyche Running: Selected Poems, 2005–2022 (Seagull Press, 2023); Mortal Diamond (Upper West Side Philosophers, 2013); and Ashes for Breakfast (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2006).
