Page access tokens are used in Graph API calls to manage Facebook Pages. To generate a page access token, an admin of the page must grant your app the Page permission or permissions needed. Once granted, you can retrieve the Page access token using a user access token with the required permissions.

Full JavaScript Example for Facebook Login. This code will load and initialize the JavaScript SDK in your HTML page. Use your app ID where indicated. For the API version, specify the graph API version to use. Unless you have a specific reason to use an older version, specify the most recent version: v20.0.
How It Works. This is a typical flow for accessing the Pages API: Get a User Access Token from the app User through Facebook Login. Query the /me/accounts endpoint to get the ID and Page Access Token of the Page the app User has permitted your app to access. Capture the returned Page ID and Page Access Token.
When a person uses Facebook Login on a website or a mobile app, an ID is created for the specific Facebook app, which is called app-scoped ID. When a person interacts with a business via Messenger, an ID is created for the specific Page associated with the bot in Messenger, which is called Page-scoped ID.
Whether someone is not logged into your app or not logged into Facebook, you can use the Login dialog to prompt them to do both. If they aren't logged into Facebook, they'll be prompted to login and then move onto logging into your app.
