Coined as Asia’s equivalent of the Sydney Opera House by many, the structure is home to a 2,000-seat theatre, concert hall, an outdoor theatre, a shopping centre, and performance spaces.
Singapore Ballet (formerly known as Singapore Dance Theatre) was founded in 1988 by Goh Soo Khim and Anthony Then. In 2002, the company was honoured with the opportunity to grace the official opening of the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay with the opening performance of Boi Sakti’s Reminiscing the Moon.
